A walk around the coast near Godrevy (pre-lockdown) was the inspiration for my latest painting.
I had yet to really explore this part of the Cornish coastline and was surprised by the amount of erosion and subsidence that gave the dominant cliffs and headlands a 'fractured' look. Despite the occasional birdsong there was an incredible quietness to the scene - even the waves crashing around the semi-submerged rocks far below me seemed to be hushed.
